Madrona Workshop is a Vancouver Island based company which builds to last, using natural materials. Adrian Paul, a Cowichan Valley local is pursuing a life-long education in working with natural materials to express his creative inspiration found all around in nature. Adrian’s hope is that his works will inspire a closer look into the brilliance of nature and more wholistic thinking about the value of local ecosystems.

Adrian is self-trained in design, construction, and woodwork, having spent the majority of his professional career at a computer in various sales and project development roles. Adrian’s career started with a sales/ project management role with a rooftop solar company where he developed knowledge about sun paths/ building orientation and passive solar design. Next, he spent seven years authoring consulting reports for a preeminent company in the tourism and recreation sector. Finally, the gears switched back to hands-on work, learning carpentry in its truest form – from trees and forests through to structures household goods.
