Madrona Workshop is a Vancouver Island based company focused on building things of beauty and function from natural materials. Founded by Adrian Paul, a Cowichan Valley local, to express his creative inspiration found all around in nature. Adrian’s hope is that his works will inspire a closer look into the brilliance of nature and more conscious thinking about the value of local ecosystems.

Adrian is self-trained in design, construction, and woodwork, having spent the majority of his professional career at a computer in various sales and research roles. Adrian’s career started with a sales/ project management role with a rooftop solar company where he developed knowledge about sun paths/ building orientation and passive solar design. After several years authoring consulting reports for a preeminent company in the tourism and recreation sector, Adrian switched gears to learning carpentry in its truest form – from trees and forests through to furniture and structures.
